Fusion FC Merger Information

Dear Fusion Families,

Over the last decade there have been a couple/few attempts to bring players together across the Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee Regions. The motives have been varied but none have had a strong leadership uniting a long term vision with an individual player development philosophy to make
significant progress. The formation of Fusion which aligned Highlands Soccer Club, Bristol Soccer Association, Sullivan County Association, Elizabethton Soccer Association, and Impact USA provided the first step in providing such an organization focused on the long term development of the game and of our kids at all levels. However, there are further steps to be taken in order to achieve that goal. One of those steps involves bringing together the remainder of the clubs in our area. Hence Fusion has always been committed to the possibility of further merger discussions and therefore entered into discussions Spring 2011 and then more recently at the end of the Fall 2011 with HVFC, ETSF, and Vitesse
regarding this next step.

A merger committee was formed with representatives from each board to begin the process of uniting the area under one club, with one long term goal, and one player development philosophy. Deliberations have been numerous and extensive, but filled with energy, excitement, and optimism about the
possibilities associated with unification.

An extensive informational packet has been put together by the committee outlining the potential new club. We would like to give you an opportunity to ask questions and give feedback and so an informational meeting will be held on Thursday March 8th 6:30pm at White Top Pavilion.

Membership Merger Documentation

Please note no final decisions have been made by any of the clubs. Each club has unique share holders and due process and therefore a complete merger may not be known or approved till later in the spring season. Therefore, we will continue to do business as Fusion through the spring season.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to hearing from you March 8th.

Regards,

Declan Jogi
